Sometimes getting too serious about an issue and praying until your blue in the face over shadows the real lesson and purpose of the matter your facing and ends up leaving you falsely believing that somehow you just don't matter, or that the issue can not be changed. Lighten up with patience and silence about it and approach it from a different angle, knowing that your prayers HAVE been heard in the spirit and that all things DO change eventually.

"Oh Great One, please give me patience when I am impatient, please give me vision when I am having trouble seeing, please give me understanding when I am confused.....please allow the spirit helpers to guide me in these difficult times through your wisdom and kindness, thank you Great One".

Please give me the strength to get through this day, through the good as well as the bad, for without these polarities we could not learn the difference. Please bless the creation that we are allowed to hold strong in our hearts and please give us wisdom to do good medicine so that all things will benefit.....

Bless those that that run and hide from truth and wisdom, bless those that find security in the dark places, for they are brothers and sisters that are lost and can not find their way. Perhaps the reason that they are so lost is because no one cares or sends them blessings in the wind to help them open their eyes and minds which will allow their hearts to mend....

Many are beyond the point of no return, but there are many who are thirsty for the right burst of energy (the blessing) so that they may be awakened and have a place along the trail of peace and light, the path of the good medicine way....the path of right relationship with themselves and all things.

This is my wish and prayer today, that we bless those that can not or will not bless themselves.

With all the things going on in the world we must always remember that some lessons are harder than others to learn. When people don't work together and some just don't care and or have sinister intentions, solving problems and learning these lesson are going to be more difficult and take more time.

As many are facing huge challenges right now and severe losses and sufferings, we as little humans must realize that we are all in this together and when a spoke in the great wheel is broken, it creates a wobble for us all; as we are all one in this great wheel.

We must also realize that although we are just little humans, we are also quite powerful, being gifted with many talents by the Great One. Regardless of how bleak certain things seem to look, we have the power through not only physical means but also spiritual means to cross any bridge and succeed at anything we set our minds and hearts too. We are only victims when we forget our true potential and cower down in defeat, fear, and denial.

Yes, many things seem quite bleak and chaotic right now, some natural and some caused by human error and mistakes made along the way. The beauty of it though is that with hope and strong physical and spiritual conviction and determination, we as a family can overcome and walk through anything and come out on the other side better and stronger than ever.

I feel this is what the Creator is waiting for us to do and it is part of our destiny as a species, and as spiritual beings growing into adulthood.

Thank you Great One for this new day and for this life you have given us. Please give us the strength and courage to correct the mistakes that we have made along the way and to protect and heal each other and our great Mother. We know that some lessons are harder than others to learn and we ask you for guidance and wisdom to over come the mistakes that we have made that has created much harm to ourselves and all living things, including the great Mother. We know that you, Great One, makes no mistakes; but that we do and if all of these hurdles in our way are meant to be for your plan to work, so be it. Please give us the strength and wisdom to accept the things we do not understand and to have the courage to walk through them in a balanced and spiritual way.

Please forgive us Great One for our sometimes stupid and idiotic ways, we are small and reckless and often make unwise decisions that harm many things in creation. Please comfort our Great Mother as she weeps for us and allow those sleeping to awake for her sake and for all upon her, so that we may take care of her and all of creation better. Thank you Great One for hearing our weak and quiet voices. Aho!

Oh Great One, Ogedawda, Thank You for another beautiful day.

Please give me the strength today, to get through the good as well as the bad, for I am small and need your guidence and wisdom.

Please bless all my family, all my brothers and sisters with the gentle kindness that you so freely give without question.

Thank you for our Mother Earth, Elohino, who's body is beneath our feet and was given to us by you to take care of us.

I often sprinkle the sacred tobacco, Tsa lu, upon her and thank her for her healing ways, I will always try to take care of her.

I ask you this day to please bless all the kingdoms that share this planet Elohino with us.

Wado Ogedawda for all your creations....and for allowing me the wisdom to know that they are just as much a part of me as I them.

I would like to add that today is a very special day to me. 7 years ago today I was blessed by the Creator and became a father to a very beautiful and special spirit girl.

It's a bit strange knowing I will be 60 when she graduates high school, but I know my Creator gave me this gift in my 40's for a special reason and purpose. The experience alone has opened many doors into the Great Mystery of life and I am very grateful. It has opened my heart and mended many cracks. Thank you Great One for such a gift....

Happy birthday my dear little angel, may the Great One always show your heart how much the Creator and your daddy truly loves you, always and forever....Aho!

Oh Great One, keeper of the great mystery and master of the currents which flow through all creation in all of the many directions.

We reach up to you and ask for help with the people of the Great Mother, for we are small and weak and are causing great harm to ourselves and others upon your beautiful creation.

Many are asleep and need to be awakened before it's too late, our mother has become irritated, we have become irritated, all of our relations have become irritated, a great harm has covered the earth and pain and suffering is in the prevailing winds. We ask you to please wake up the stewards of the earth so that we may become wise to the error of our ways and make great changes and correct our mistakes.

The directions need your guiding hand, we are weak and have forgotten the ancient teachings of the grandfathers and grandmothers, we have forgotten the instructions you have given us.

In the east, the place of the fire keepers, we ask you to awaken the white people.

In the south, the place of the earth keepers, we ask you to awaken the red people.

In the west, the place of the water keepers, we ask you to awaken the black people.

In the north, the place of the air keepers, we ask you to awaken the yellow people.

We have reached a crossroads along our journey and have lost our way, we no longer know how to see your presence within and without and need the darkness washed away from our eyes and hearts, we ask you Great One for your guidence and compassion.

We accept your reminders and know that nothing is an accident, all things are meant to be and have great purpose.

We ask for your help and healing medicine so that we may become better stewards to the earth and better caretakers to ourselves and all our relations. Please forgive us for our foolish, selfish, and destructive ways and allow us to awaken into a new direction that will bring in a new time for the all, a new way thinking for the all, a new way of being for the all.

Thank you Great One for hearing our prayer and thank you for all that you have given us and all that you have taken away from us.

Note: My father gave me this prayer when I was a small child, I don't know where he got it or if he actually wrote it himself or not. I have never seen it anywhere else....yet.

"Oh Great Spirit, let your winds be gentle and your skies be heavy; let there be a blanket of fresh snow to track the Antlered One as done by my forefathers; And grant that I find him with Antlers like tree branches - wide and mighty. And grant that my hand be steady....My aim be true....and my drag, short. But most of all, oh Great Spirit, grant that my children and their children and their children's children have the wisdom to preserve your work in forests, fields and streams....so that they too can one day hunt the Antlered One in the footsteps of their forefathers."
